C.J. Leslie on John Wall: "It would be fun to play with him at point guard in college"

As Big Blue Madness approaches, the rumors on a possible commitment from C.J Leslie have reached a white hot super nova level buzz. The reason for a lot of the recent buzz if the fact that this was widely considered to be a two team race, UK and North Carolina, and apparently North Carolina is no longer recruiting him.

Leslie insists that he is still no closer to making a decision on his college choice. “I am wide open. I haven’t narrowed my list down at all. I just want to check out their Midnight Madness.” Leslie had in home visits from Kentucky, Florida, Maryland, Oregon, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, N.C. State and Florida International. Leslie had earlier committed to NC State, and apparently they are still a possibility for him.

What interests me most about the Leslie angle is the quote about John Wall and him playing together in college. Since Wall is widely believed to be a “one and done”, you have to wonder if Wall and Leslie are talking about playing at least a year together at the college level. While the buzz on an possible Leslie commit grow, C.J states that he still has not decided on whether he will announce in November or in the spring.

In a couple of other quick recruiting notes…

• It had seemed that Doron Lamb had cooled on UK recently and this was turning into a Kansas vs Oklahoma battle for him. It does appear that UK is still in the running for Lamb as he will be visiting UK next weekend.
• Tobias Harris, a BBM visitor on Friday says that he will make his commitment around the third weekend of November.
• Josh Selby will be announcing his official visit schedule later today.
